Grants & Scholarships
For fiscal year ended in 2009, CFHC distributed over $2 million to several nonprofit organizations and scholarship seekers in the Henderson County region and beyond. With assets over $61 million, CFHC comprises more than 450 different charitable funds.
- In the past year 173 organizations received over $2 million. These grants were awarded in the areas of arts and culture, health and human services, education, civic and community affairs, animal care, conservation and religious programs.
- For the 2008-2009 school year, 118 scholarships were awarded in the amount of $213,550 in assistance.
- Since 1983, more than $32.1 million has been disbursed by the Community Foundation.
